One of the best things about our mega ski area is the continuing investment that we see year on year…

There are two brand new lifts!

Over in the Les Gets sector the Rosta lift has been replaced. The restaurants up there have great views over Mont Blanc and is a brilliant spot for groups of mixed abilities as the lift serves a black, red and a couple of blue runs all ending at the same point.

In the Chatel sector the nostalgic standing gondola in Linga has been replaced with a super dooper quick chairlift – the red run below that is one of the best in the whole region and is great for big euro carves and getting a bit of speed up. Love the restaurant des moulins on that run too; lovely open fire, great decor (including some saucy hand drawings) and the owner looks like Chris de Burgh (reference from the 90s).

In Avoriaz the Arare park has being given a Japanese theme. At the time of writing, it hasn’t quite been built, but as the snow builds we’re looking forward to seeing the usual French cultural sensitivities coming through.

In Morzine (for those of you who know) – The Haka bar has been taken over by those that run The Crepu… surely a fab move. La Trafole opens down by the church and there’s a rumour that Punk night will return to Café Chaud?! And of course Le Tremplin promises to be a great spot for aprés with the refubished bar and new restaurant!
