We head to a little place called Mawgan Porth which is just north of Newquay in Cornwall. It is famous in the area for having a safe beach with consistently good waves – perfect for those learning to surf and still challenging enough for those looking to master the waves.

It has a fabulous sandy bay in a beautiful cove. It has a pub (fantastic Sunday carvery) a couple of shops selling all kinds of beach & surf paraphernalia (including of course Cornish Pasties!)
