Multi activity, Morzine

The French Alps aren’t all about skiing. In the summer, there’s actually way more to do than during the winter and with loads of events coming to town, 2019 is a year not to be missed!

The theme of the week is active. You don’t need to be massively fit and you don’t need to be particularly sporty, but you should want to do stuff. But how much you do and how extreme the stuff is, it’s up to you.

It’s your holiday!

We can go hiking, biking, bbq-ing, rafting, wild swimming, trim trails, paragliding, picnicking, horse riding, go karting, SUP-ing, golfing, fishing, photo ‘hunting’, climbing, partying, kayaking, pot-holing, wake boarding, tree climbing, tennis… the list is endless.

Each trip and each day is different – come play with us! Epic.

  • Shared accommodation in Chalet Hubert
  • 6 days Multipass – free pedestrian access to the ski lifts and swimming pools. Discounts on tennis courts, go-karting, Fantasticable…. and more!
  • Breakfast every morning (think porridge, cereal, baguettes, jams, toast, fruit, eggs) including a hot option each day and full fry up on one morning
  • Guests are encouraged to make sandwiches from the chalet supplies and take packed lunches
  • Raid the fridge policy. There are always snacks, biscuits, crisps, cakes available. In the afternoons enjoy fresh waffles
  • For 5 evenings the chalet staff will prepare a simple but wholesome & tasty 3 course dinner and there will be loads of it!
  • Unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, beer, cider & wine
  • Smoothie Bar
  • Live-in HOFNAR hosts who do everything from cooking breakfast and keeping the chalet clean to  preparing dinner and leading the all important aprés ski!
  • Benefit of staying with a small group of like minded people, in a really laid back chalet where you can raid the fridge, wander around in your pyjamas, really make yourself at home and there are no kids!

  • Flights are not included, you just need to get yourself to Geneva airport (look on for some of the best prices)
  • Transfers from/to the airport. We can easily arrange this for you but it costs £70pp return
  • The activities… if you allow £40 per day I think you’ll be in the right area. Obviously this depends on what we do, some things are cheaper than others; hiking is free, paragliding is about £85 etc
  • Insurance. Essential. Do make sure it covers you for some of the more ‘extreme’ elements of the trip ie:  mountain biking.
  • 2 x evening meals. Usually we go out as a group to local restaurants at your own expense first and last evenings, everything is a little flexi, so this could be changed if (for example) there’s a birthday or other special event.

Chalet Hubert is our brand new chalet (2018/19) situated in about as central as a spot as you can get. It is just 30 seconds from the main Super Morzine lift and 2 minutes from the Pleney lift.

It has all been completely renovated and is new throughout. Brand new beds, bedding, linen. There are six en-suite twin/double bedrooms, there is underfloor heating, large fireplace and a smart TV.

It is modern, bright and yet still has the charm and the class of a mountain retreat. This chalet, although maintaining the laid-back vibe HOFNAR is famous for, is ran with a slightly higher level of service than our other chalet.

As much as we love winter, we reckon that Morzine during the summer is one of the Alps’ best kept secrets. The town still isn’t quite as busy as the winter, but this is part of its charm – the vibe is laid-back, active and outdoorsy.

Just 1hr and 20 minutes from Geneva, the resort is one of the easiest and quickest to get to from the UK. This historic mining and farming town has avoided the ugly tower blocks that blight many of the French resorts and remains a ‘real’ French town with a market on a Wednesday morning and a year-round population.

There’s way more to do here than when the snow is on the ground. Go hiking, biking, rafting, wild swimming, golf, horse riding, SUP-ing, fishing, climbing, paragliding, canyoning, picnic-ing, tree swinging, go karting, bbq-ing… there really is something for everyone. And with the rise of downhill, enduro and road biking the town gets more and more exciting every year.

We also see some really great events; Spartan, Harley Days and the Tour de France are all often in town. Summer in the Alps – amazing!
